AAP Aam Admi Party - Why are they so powerful?

Newspapers, news programs are all talking abut AAP, aam admi. Kaun hai yeh aam admi. Why are they powerful?

Why did they  turn the history of Indian politics and India around?
Congress, BJP leaders they say were stunned that someone nameless, non existent suddenly kicked them out of their states.
These people with jhadoos or brooms, are aiming at wiping corruption away from streets.

Are they a farce, are they an eyewash?

I want to believe that they are not.

I want to believe that India and Indians are fighting back.
Fighting back against corruption
Fighting back against rape.
Fighting back against molestation

We are fed up with Narayan Sai's, Tejpals, corrupt officials.

Is that why AAP is using us to get a victory

I hope not.

Here are some interesting articles I found on AAP and its win.

After being denied a clear-cut victory in Delhi, the BJP will be tempted to say that the issues in the national elections will be different, and that Narendra Modi will be a more important factor in April-May 2014. But that would be underestimating the real impact of the AAP, which goes beyond its immediate performance in Delhi.

Delhi assembly election results: BJP wins, but AAP the real hero

Although the Bharatiya Janata Party's chief ministerial candidate has won big in his own constituency, Dr Harsh Vardhan should not ignore the fact that AAP's candidate from Krishna Nagar Assembly constituency, Ishrat Ali Ansari, has managed to get more than 15,000 votes. To get even these many votes in the stronghold of Dr Harsh Vardhan for a newcomer like Ansari is something the BJP as well as Congress should not take lightly at all. Notably, Congress' candidate and former BJP councillor Dr VK Monga, a well-known personality in the area, could get just more than 21,000 votes.http://zeenews.india.com/assembly-elections-2013/delhi-polls/delhi-assembly-election-results-bjp-wins-but-aap-the-real-hero_895279.htmlhttp://zeenews.india.com/assembly-elections-2013/delhi-polls/delhi-assembly-election-results-bjp-wins-but-aap-the-real-hero_895279.html

Assembly Election Results Analysis: BJP, AAP scorch Congress

Though the BJP has swept the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, Aam Admi Party (AAP) lingered perilously close to BJP numbers in Delhi for Harsha Vardhan to breathe easy. Even Raman Singh suffered a fright at the hands of Ajit Jogi led Congress in Chhattisgarh before easing into a victory.
What has come out crystal clear, once the dust settled at the hustings, was that the Congress has been booted and packed out fair and square.
